Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Might be time to consider adding more of them.
Edit: pushed it too soon.

A few hundred linear miles is no big deal. I'm not talking about seeing them in one day; it takes months for a candidate up here to get to most of his prospective constituents. However, it's still what you need to do if you want to win. The problem isn't the transportation it seems, it's the number of people.

It's still part of the job; if you want to be a politician and represent people, it's a good idea to have met them so you can get a feel for what they want... and let them get a feel for you.

New Gad! So how many congresscritters...
...do you want skulking around Washington DC? Just what we need, more self-important pompous asses strutting around like so many bantam roosters, carving out perks for themselves (e.g. flu shots) while purporting to "represent" "us".

No fucking thankyouverymuch!

New I'd say a reasonable ratio would probably be
about one per 60-100K people.

New More is better
That way we know where to find them when the Revolution comes. ;-)

Cheers,
Ben
I have come to believe that idealism without discipline is a quick road to disaster, while discipline without idealism is pointless. -- Aaron Ward (my brother)
New Yeah, but then...
...we need more ammo to make sure we get them all.

Raises the cost of the revolution, doncha think?
