That still doesn't make the protesters a majority. Approval ratings were still over 60% up to and through the invasion of Iraq. Would that be 51% of those eligible to vote? 51% of those registered.. 51% of those who actually do vote (say, on a Good day)? What about a mere 50%. Would 10% Actually in the Streets - mean anything at all? 11%? I do so love bookkeeping data to 3.00 digits as overrides any concept of the significant. So did Geo. Boole (he thought his little algebra might "facilitate human discussion!") Hah - a computer-mind from pre-VisiCalc.. but so modern. (I doubt they had MBAs in his day though: +3.66 points?)

Too bad the afformentioned sweeping generalizations didn't have that basis in reality. So if the propoganda works and some of your population gets swept up in the jingoistic rush to war then, because people believed lies that were told with full knowledge of the truth, it is now the will of the poeple to invade a country that never attacked us and had no capability to do so. You said something in an earlier post- The difference is in what "we the people" would accept as a response. That changed during this administration. So it's ok to go to war if 51% approve? Which means that you believe the governments of some 40 countries withheld information that only came out after. Which means you believe that this was the greatest conspiricy in the history of the world. The entire Security Council of the UN continued to vote resolutions into place because of Sadam's weapons programs that we >knew categorically didn't exist< (according to you).
