Re: s/feminine/masculine/
The inner woman is what is destroying. What these people do has nothing to do with the masculine spirit (the one that makes things, not destroys them).

How sad
If that's how you feel about your inner feminine side, no wonder you're scared to get in touch with it!
Of course every major internal drive can come out in positive and negative ways. If you repress it, then you've just made the negative expressions far more likely, reinforcing the impressions upon which your fear is based. Which, of course, leads to a vicious cycle.

Re: How sad
Some things need destroying. Creativity is essentially masculine, regardless of who's doing the creating. It's not sex, as I've said again and again and again. This is a matter of ONE aspect of the psyche - the anima - dominating all aspects of culture from school buses to executions. The animus is disinherited and projected in its negative form - e.g. bravado, narcissistic preening, territoriality - onto the external world - so ridiculous things like bumping into a car are interpreted as threats to the self.
Mars is Pluto in its chthonic form - the frustrated Ego forced to do the will of the Destroyer.

hmm___Isn't that what code sounds like to your normal human?
After all, there is a Code Complete manual re Ross's assertions (which may or may not be Right On -?- in his phrasing) as regards the most popular forms of social diseases now a festerin and a rottin at the Village bizarre. We could always parse some of the gender stuff, of course - it's easy to get wrong in the modern n+1 variants all mixed together in any Disco.
Jung - don't leave Soc. "Sci" without him; he ain't perfectly prescient either.. but he sure beats the Hell outta those mental quirks which make certain jelloware susceptible to such bafflegab as Revelations and Leviticus .. (while we're examining weird mouth sounds).

After doing some research...
I don't give Jung's theories a lot of weight as a whole, though some points coincide with my own observances.
But your evaluation of the material seems to be off. What I get from my research is that a man that overly identifies with the anima tends towards effeminaty or homosexuality, not brutality. A man who identifies with his masculine persona will repress his anima in himself, and project the image of his anima on the women in his life; these men tend to become disappointed when the women don't match their anima. I see nothing in his discription of the anima of it being destructive, only emotional. In fact he states that the anima is essential in mid life for vitality, flexibility and human kindness.
In general though, what I've read leads me to believe that it is the repression of his anima that would make a man destructive.

Oh, you and your fear of women.
Boys are destructive by nature (I know, I was one at one time and knew plenty of others). Girls are not. Boys learn the value of things as they get older and create or pay for them themselves, and learn the value of life as they learn to understand their own mortality, and they get less destructive (at least as far as random destructiveness goes). Many never mature to that extent and never learn not to be destructive. This is not particularly a problem with women who very rarely kill people for bumping into their cars.

In a broader context . .
. . women have not been notably active in creation or application of weapons of mass destruction (so yes, here men are more creative, but only to enable being more destructive).
Of course, if you mean by "broader context" that psychobable you spouted in the branch above, it was my impression all that had been totally discredited back in the last century.

Re: In a broader context . .
The destruction is not "physical" (of course, if the balance is ruined that is an inevitable outcome). This is a metaphorical description of a psychic attitude. The external form of destructiveness from the anima is, somewhat paradoxically, and obsession with safety (among other equally unhealthy things).
I can't believe all you geniuses are so thick. This is simple Jungian analysis.

The actual thought for the day
..from someone who actually thinks:
The entire Western world is caught in a gigantic projection of a negative anima image. Since it is a projection, by definition it is unconscious (thus all the stupid responses here in the face of clear evidence). Since it is unconscious, it is guaranteed to get ever more out of hand until a cataclysm (nuclear will be enough, or global warming) erases the board and we can start over from square 1. You asked for it, you got it. Have fun with your stupid, shallow equalism while waiting.

It is er axiomatic that "meta-" ideas never survive commercialization. They have other uses.
I think you can't read Jung for some bloody stupid "analysis technique", even if that's what academies etc always Do with anybody's ideas. Anyway (and also aside from the efficacy or no of Ross's summaries) .. I'da thot you might have some acquaintance with the old boy [?]
Obv this gaggle of a few billions of an 'Earth infestation' is nearing terminal viciousness; I think that means we need all the help we can find. There is 'some' in CGJ's work - what have we got to lose, that isn't already in jeopardy?
