Good News: These guys seem to know their stuff and have sane management practices.
Bad News: Have to move north into the cold. I hate the cold.
Good News: I will have a boat again - just need to relaunch and sail her up.
Bad News: Its still freakin cold there.
Good News: All is Linux/Unix.
Bad News: and C++ and Java and Windows for office apps.

You'll get to meet inthane, and I come through there sometimes as well.
Seattle in particular tends to be cloudy, otherwise I love the weather there. Mild all year round.

Everything I've seen says that Amazon is a good place to work.

Well the bright side - good company that survived the chaos by sticking to the program, beautiful area on the clear days, mountains nearby and ocean too, good music scene, no more homeless worries. It can't be worse than Denver for stability.

You will, of course, catch every form of rhinovirus known to man, as the winter temperature is about 33\ufffdF, while you'll see the sun evey 4th week or so...
Still, beats North Dakota, any time of the year!

It ain't all that bad right now.
Quite frankly, for the past month it's been a little bit hot for me. Temp has been around 75-85, and while that may not seem like a lot, we get some serious humidity as well, which causes some problems with sweat.
OTOH, we haven't seen much snow lately.

Seems like every day down here is at least 80% humidity, and the temp goes above 90 by May and stays up there until October.
