Geek dreams *DO* come true.

This is why I'm not a geek. I don't get the appeal.
But then, I *do* have a Leatherman Crunch. ;)

what occurs to me
is the time I was going through security and the security agent refused to allow me to carry my little pocket knife, given to me by my wife, on the plane. My choices were: not get on the plane, leave the knife behind, or mail it home. I chose to mail it home. A couple of weeks later I received an empty envelope. Imagine having some critical data on it. No thanks.
Have fun, Carl Forde

Hence their knife-free 'Travel' version I guess.
If all else fails, looks like the USB key is detachable.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.

Bah
Doesn't even have a wirestripper or RJ45 crimper.
Thought you said this was a *geek* toy?

Yeah
Sheesh, even my favoured RS485 protocol analyser (phone earpiece & two wires, AKA The Quacker) would have been a start.

Bzzt. There are two telltale signs
One on the southeast and one on the northwest corner.

IBM Thinkpad, maybe the T series?

Ding!
The bezel on the SE corner and the notch on the NW corner show that this is a Thinkpad - but I'd say "A" series.
