Yes but that particular incident was supposed to be training
and uncooperative prisoners do come part of the course for military guards.

Exactly
So in addition to the fact that its a stretch at best to say there is "torture" going on at Gitmo...they "evidence" they use is a training exersize where no actual "detainees" were involved...and a memo asking what they are legally allowed to do.
If this wasn't so sad it would be funny. What the desparate will do to regain power is amazing.

Right
If anything untoward had occurred with respect to torturing personnel under our care, the perpetrators would surely be aware of it -- and any instigators would know even earlier.
The fact that none (except a handful of scumbags) of the alleged perpetrators and none of the alleged instigators in all these alleged torture instances have come forward to admit any guilt strongly indicates to me that nothing actionable was going on. As the bard said, these are all honorable men.
With a little more good taste and common sense this whole thing never needed to happen. If those pornographic pictures hadn't come out... but I digress.
I am more and more appreciative of the essential role that censorship, official secrecy, creative truth-mongering, concentration of powers, and silent acquiescence must play for our democracy and freedoms to prevail in the end: faith alone should be enough, to be sure, but in this wicked world it can sure use a little help!

Ah, I see,
So a decided effort to connect Abu G to Gitmo using the thinnest of threads is all justified.
"He stubbed his toe!
Yeah, well since he was on our watch, its torture.
We told him to wear shoes!
Don't you know that wearing shoes is an abhorrent in his culture?"

Definitely funny....
So in addition to the fact that its a stretch at best to say there is "torture" going on at Gitmo...they "evidence" they use is a training exersize where no actual "detainees" were involved Well, I seem to recall CPR training I had once upon a time. Ideally training is "safe" practice. No one is supposed to die during CPR training. If someone died during CPR training...my guess might be that something was going wrong.

So now...
...he died in this exersize?
How is he telling the press about it then?
Wait, I think I saw that guy on the Sci_Fi Network ;-)
