The actual details have already been mentioned here in this forum but it seems there is also more to come. The issue now is that it has become front page news. I am of the opinion that the original pushing of the 'humiliation' photos was a deliberate tactic to soften the blow regarding deaths in custody and how some of hese murders were carried out. The details are very ugly. US officials knew of the photos at end 2003. I can't help but notice when I was looking for the photo that most news outlets didn't publish it, or published a version with the "naughty bits" edited out (as in, only showing the top half of the photo). Perhaps if your media was a little less squeamish about offending the sensibilities of your people, the people would have a better idea of the sorts of things that have been being done in their name. In conclusion, Congress and the American People did know about it.
