I shall be the Prime Minister
Your distinct personality, The Prime Minister might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. You are a strategist who pursues the most efficient and logical path toward the realization of the goal that you perceive or visualize. You will often only associate with those people who can assist you in the implementation of your plan. Inept assistants may be immediately discarded as excess baggage. To do otherwise could be seen as inefficient and illogical. On the positive side, you can be rationally idealistic and analytically ideological. You can be a bold decision maker and risk taker who can move society ahead by years instead of minutes. On the negative side, you may be unmerciful, impatient, impetuous and impulsive. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.

Me too
But I think it fits me better. You are too merciful.

And here I had you labelled as a black knight
[link|http://www.cmi-lmi.com/bknight.html|http://www.cmi-lmi.com/bknight.html]
Your distinct personality, The Black Knight, might be found in most of the thriving kingdoms of the time. Your overriding goal is to win. You approach each task or situation as a contest to be won strategically and efficiently. Because you can control your feelings, it is not unusual for you to charm, as well as successfully delegate tasks and responsibilities to the more emotional types. You are often concerned with what's in it for you. You seldom involve yourself in activities where you can not foresee a reward for your investment or effort. On the positive side, you can be analytically empathic and logically persuasive. On the negative side, you may be unemotionally manipulative as well as impulsive. Interestingly, your preference is just as applicable in today's corporate kingdoms.
I don't think that it fits me, but dang if it doesn't fit my impression of you...
Cheers, Ben

So sorry
I read the PM and it felt right.
But reading the BN also is pretty close.
These are not truly distinct personalities.
They need to show a range in the test. I bet there are areas where it might be 55% PM, 45% BN, so they show PM.
I see the differences though. BN can delegate tasks and responsibilities to the more emotional types. I would just discard them and replace them with people more logical. Maybe the BN doesn't mind wasting time dealing with their screwups. Maybe when he fixes the problems he binds them tigher to him, so he then uses them as cannon fodder when the really massive screwups come back to bite him. I KNOW a Black Night. I am not one, though.
I also am NEVER impulsive at work. Too much riding on every decision. So the canned desciption fails on both for me. There is difference making an informed decision, quickly, then being impulsive.
Couple of more things. The win at any cost is too short term. Too dangerous. Need more stability than that, w/ kids and house. So my more cautionary answers in company types (dot.com came last) probably knocked me out of the BN range.
As a PM, you are not responsible for the initial goal. But given a goal, you can map out all the high level tasks to get there. Which means strategic thinking. BN is more tactical. I can DO BN, and typically do BOTH, but my preferences indicate PM.

I still feel that it doesn't fit me
I ranked most of them in reverse (ie 4-3-2-1). But I valued stability. That one question didn't do it.
I would be curious to browse all of the personality types to see if any fit me better in my opinion. [link|http://www.kingdomality.com/kingbrochure/pg1.htm|http://www.kingdomal...gbrochure/pg1.htm] indicates that there are 12 of them, but I don't know their names and therefore the URLs for the descriptions.
Ah well, just a stupid personality test with a cute theme. Not a big deal.
Cheers, Ben

Guessing how this works....
Order 1-2-3-4 gives Doctor. Order 1-3-2-4 gives Scientist. Order 1-3-4-2 gives [link|http://www.cmi-lmi.com/engineer.html|Engineer-Builder] - the one that you don't have.
I'll stop there.
I'm guessing that where you place 1 and 2 determines which category you get. (There are 12 categories, and 12 choices of where to place 1 and 2. Coincidence?) But I'm not interested enough to enumerate the rest right now.
Cheers, Ben

I just met another one
Sweet young thing who has the cubbie outside my office. She's gorgious. 1/2 Filipino, 1/2 caucasion. Asian features on a killer body. With the occasional discrete tatoo.
She's a BN as well. Or at least a BN wannabe. BNs can be bad for PMs if they work for the other side. I'll have to watch out for her.
