Last shot is from almost four years ago. He was absolutely terrified around her, despite the fact that he outweighed her - he knew, somehow, that if he did anything to hurt her, we would have his hide for a rug.
He even let her pet him backwards without a peep.

With some help from Ark, Ben and Jake, I managed to put my English in there somewhere between Beowulf and Chaucer, if I understood the upshot correctly.
Also, of course, if Guido checks his clients' date before he leaps into action, I was among the first to get a visit from him; that would be another way I've "dated myself".
Furthermore, one way of interpreting the silly American term "dating", when used in relation to oneself, that springs immediately to mind, is... Well, frankly, none of your damn business.
Finally, being one of those mumbling-half-under-his-breath-to-no-one-in-particular types, I've often said that the great advantage of talking to yourself is, you get the most intelligent answers that way.
