Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Well...
I hack Smalltalk in Vancouver, Canada. The main thrust of my work for the past several years has been a research project into how to build better tools for web development, with a lot of tangents to build supporting infrastructure (like decent Smalltalk version control and database access) and pay the bills.

I ran into iwethey through the referrer logs of my blog. No idea if I'll stick around; it's awkward to always check a web interface for new posts. Is there some alternate way (email, news, RSS) of tracking these forums?
New Re: Well...
Why not cross-post the mailing list items here?

There is a mailing list, see link.

So how long until Smalltalk for the Web replaces the current chaos? :)
-drl
New Yeah, there's a mailing list.
And a Jabber server, and a wiki, and a MUD, and <insert communication technology we haven't used yet>

Don't feel that you have to use the web message board if the mailing list would be more convenient.

Here you go: [link|http://www.vtluug.org/mailman/listinfo/iwe|http://www.vtluug.or...lman/listinfo/iwe]

New Yeahbut
the content is different between the list and the board.

You'll miss a lot if you just use the list...

New You'll find...
..that Little Red Plasma Dot (LRPD) will call you...it will sing out for you in the night. It knows when you are sleeping, it knows when you're awake....(sorry...thats Santa)

Anyway...with the LRPD and the Mark read functions along with some other features...you can get through this site pretty quickly. Thats not to say you won't spend entirely too much time here...like I do ;-)

Welcome friend. Now you are invited to an Independence Day party in New Jersey.

New Maybe I should tell him what that means
If you register and log in, you can mark any forum (or all fora) read. The next time you come back (and are logged in) you'll see a red dot next to each forum that has new posts since you last marked it read.

[Edit] /me smacks forehead

I see that you actually mentioned checking the web interface for new posts. And that you have a login to be able to post. So, uhh, I'll shut up now.
