When I worked at the Page Records Center in St. Louis, there was an overflow of records, and they were having problems storing records. Records are not stored in the state you served, not really, not unless they are current ones. Past records are shuffled to actual Records Centers like the one on Page.

When I left the Page Center, (wasn't there too long), they were making arrangements to move overflow records and other paperwork to other Records Centers. They were also trying to break up the military classes and not try to store all the different branches of the service in one place at a time.

My guess is they moved the Reserve records to Colorado because they had space, or maybe that was where they decided to put reserve records in the future.
