Whores? .. by actual measurement, there are orders/magnitude
more in bizness than in any comfort-food occupation, locally, nationally ... species-wide. And it is certainly not ever gender-specific (however often it is Meant that stupid way).
Personally, I despise the Word, for it is hardly ever attached to the most deserving.. beginning waay back when females were Chattels (and cattle). About as descriptive a meaning as, "the Murican Peepul" - many of whom fit the category perfectly, re anything to do with the garnering of $$. Useless, nasty trigger-word, evoking Only all that is sanctimonious, judgmental and vicious.
Use it and be thought a fool (at most charitable) IMO.
