New Because like it or not
a lot of people are obsessed by sex, and sex sells. So they spam everybody they can find about that tape or other products. Personally I don't get into sex and sex tapes myself. I only try to procreate with my wife. My days of looking at porn ended when I graduated from college back when I was a young man. I have no need for it now.

Yes she is a whore, but a very rich one at that.

"Lady I only speak two languages, English and Bad English!" - Corbin Dallas "The Fifth Element"

New is there no lower limit to your banality?
Each time I think you've hit bottom—a record-setting ne plus ultra of sheer imbecilic vacuity—you contrive after a bit to achieve new depths. Before such superhuman attainments of sustained triviality one stands in something like awe.

Now, now.. surely there is a positive side, polyannaically speaking. Shirley.

Karl Friedrich Gauss drew that famous curve. Outliers are necessary, to keep the curve pleasingly smooth (though hardly as artful as a bosom, say; well, math ain't got no cuth) -- otherwise it'd just be a funky parabola.

Not convincing..

Ok.. it's how chat groups Had to happen; why, they even have Names for these (and er average-lowerers/moderators). Which always conjures up for me - the graphite moderators, the cadmium control rods! under that stadium in Chi:

Fermi presiding.. maybe Bethe? standing by with an axe to cut the rope holding the main spoiler-rod suspended over the pile == only gravity needed to drop the sucker... Just in case. 'Moderated neutrons' are slowed-down to room-temp speed, a veritable stroll.

Which brings us back to chat rooms. Since every utterance is as valuable as every other, why - it don't matter no how about that sound and fury signifying -

Or: imagine what was going through the mind of Hypatia, as the vox populi headed for the Library. See: legions with torches led by Rev Foulwell, to root out Catcher in the Rye (and Tom Sawyer). Salts o'the Earth cha cha cha

(Hmmm.. did I just kill democracy as a viable plan?)

New I think it was his
snide little "Yes she is a whore, but a very rich one at that" ... there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the heiress has ever shared the sweets of her gender in exchange for goods and services, given that she has been amply provided with these since birth. No, Norm used the term to disparage her as a loose woman, rather the way, as a female colleague once wryly observed, the term "slut" is used to mean "a woman who screws men other than me." This on top of the stupefyingly depressing image summoned up by his allusion to the solitary pleasures of the undergraduate Norm over the pages of Cycle Sluts or Wankers' Weekly ... it was all too much.

New Stop it man!
That image need not be mentioned. Sort of like the "parents" image....just should remain unspoken.

Not your ordinary Freudian slip, that.

You enumerated the very same ugly list I also expanded from that familiar shorthand; heard in every late-night preacher's ingrained misogyny, expressed all-aquiver. The Hoary OT: creator of dirty-bodies mindsets *for life*. Worse human plague than heroin.

(And not only do such nasty generalities mimic the nigger-word, they have the effect of reminding me: just how many of my Gramma's genes are out there buried inside .. until aus-blurted.) That is not a pleasant *reminder*.

Did I mention {ugh} ?

Norman: I can handle your ordinary insouciance, devoid as it is of all subtlety; but when you directly remind me of My Gramma! - then you've ante'd up for a taste of that foulness so casually splashed about.
Bon appetit. (I guess that's more polite than: Eat It.)

New OT: two notes on democracy from Discworld:
(misquoted, I am sure)
"Vimes liked the idea of having a vote. However, upon reflection, he realized the fatal flaw in the idea: if he, Vimes, has a vote, nothing can be done to prevent Nobby from having a vote, too".

"One man, one vote. I've seen the man, and he definitely has the vote."

"There's nothing more nervous than a million dollars. It does not speak French, it does not speak English, it does not speak German and it moves very fast."
