Deal...
It would still be a DEAL at twice the price.
I use it for nearly anything I don;t have a spare machine for.
On my 1.4GHz T-Bird Athlon, I have a Win98 machine, a Win2K machine and a WinXP machine. I always keep them in suspend so I can just turn them on.
Nice thing is I can really SCREW them up and to fix them, extract the archive of them. PLUS... You can make ONE for your whole company and use the same image everywhere. With some tweaking of course.
For WinXP being HOST OS, it'd be good for regression testing older versions of Windows.
And, the number one reason *I* absolutely love VMware, I can try things and wotrk out major problems, before I put them into production testing.
You'll come love it. I know I can't really do my job with out it.
