Welcome to IWETHEY!

New There's another story there...
My son's room had those self-adhesive stars when we moved in, but since at that point we needed a nursery and not a 9-year-old's room, we took them off (boy, was that a bitch, too).

What my wife didn't realize was that while she was taking them off, I was sneaking into our room and putting up a little constellation right over her side of the bed. 3 days later she finally noticed after we'd gone to bed:

"WHAT the HELL is THAT??"

"Eh?" (I had nearly forgotten about them at this point)

"There's something on the ceiling!" (puts her glasses on, shrieks, and starts hitting me) "You asshole! I wondered what you were up to!"

A few years later we moved the bedroom around so that the bed was against a different wall. I made sure to move the stars again when she wasn't looking. Pretty much had a repeat of the first time.

The stars are still there to this day. ;-)

New Dude, wrong kind
The ones we've got are plastic, and you use a little bit of that poster hanging clay on each one. Totally removeable.

Implicitly condoning stupidity since 2001.
New I'm going to use a stencil.
Easier all around. When we're done with it, paint it over.

New Durned glow-stars ...

The apartment wife & I settled in in Sydney had these funny 'glow-worm' things on the cieling in our bed room. We thought it must have been odd reflections.

After a week or two of realising they weren't reflections of light from the venitian blinds, I decided to take a closer look -

'stick on stars' under a very thin coat of paint - must have been there for years - but they still glow faintly thru the paint.

Cheers - Doug M
New Heh, Doug - yer livin in a metaphor!
