As more then one person has noted, there is nothing more misleading then the truth. The only thing that the White House is really distorting here is the bit about the bluff plan backfiring. Anybody that has followed the PNAC side of the story knows the US was going to invade no matter what Saddam did. For Saddam, dragging the whole thing out as long as possible while not giving the US a justification was probably the only solution that had a chance of working. Jay

Let them invade, have the army melt back into the civ population, bog down in a guerrilla action, and find nothing.
