I've been toying with two ideas to deal with the wholesale outsourcing of American jobs, personally.
When my day comes, and I'm outsourced, I'll either:
1. Find something completely unrelated to computers to spend my life doing.
Teaching school
Handyman
Car Repair
Sales
or
2. I'll find a business idea where I don't think people are doing a very
good job with technology and I'll build a product and sell it as
a small businessman.
I've been trying to get us to a point where we start saving some money each
month to get our debt down and deal with the fact that teachers or handymen make about 1/2 of what a programmer does.
The other hope I have is to stretch out my computer career long enough to get my wife graduated from Physician's Assistant school and I'll go be Mr. Mom.
