..was, OK, like, there was T1, right? Terminator is Arnie is bad. Then, T2: Terminator is Arnie is good, even if bad to the bone. T3, it was like: huh! Arnie is still good, but he, like, totally gets controlled by the bad Terminator, so he becomes bad again, but then he, like, fights through the evil control and is really good.

This facet of the progression was seriously underplayed, IMO. They could've focused more of the plot (and actual number of frames) on this central tension. But some suit somewhere must've figured nobody would empathize with a machine's moral dilemma...
