News Flash Flash - God is fallible?
This was on the front page of the Denver Post yesterday.
Cheyenne, Wyo.: 2nd lightning bolt kills Colorado hiker

A college student survived a lightning strike while mountain climbing, but was killed in a second strike about an hour later as he and his girlfriend waited out the storm, authorities said.

The body of Ryan Sayers, 20, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was recovered Tuesday, the day after he was killed on Steeple Peak in the Wind River mountain range in central Wyoming.

He and Katrin Birmann, 24, of Munich, Germany, were climbing a cliff on the 12,000-foot peak Monday afternoon when lightning first hit them 1,500 feet from the summit.

Removing their equipment, the couple decided to sit out the storm. But about an hour later they were hit by another lightning strike, and Sayers fell about 300 feet into a ravine.
So I guess he missed the first throw.

top of those mountains in a storm
is no place to be, very scary when those bolts start flying around you, much worse than the sheet lightning in the mountains of vermont and new hampshire.

I think it was the 300' fall...
[link|http://www.weathermetrics.com/news/weatherFun.htm|Lightning] The person that holds the title for the most times struck by lightning is the former human lightning conductor of Virginia, ex-park ranger, Roy C. Sullivan. He was struck seven times. He was never killed by lightning but finally took his own life in 1983 reportedly rejected by love. A broken heart will sometimes do that... :-( Cheers, Scott.

I might have been hit last week.
It was very close.
I was stepping out of a doorway at my office.
I remember a flash and a bang and felt myself
thrown back into a brick wall about 5 feet behind me.
I might have done it myself as a reaction or it might
have been the blast. Not sure.
A couple people saw me bounce off the wall.
I was a bit hysterical/laughing for about 30 seconds
and then calmed down.
Turns out the strike knocked out about 20 PCs in our
office, fried a switch, and a bunch of network cards.

Actually I had someone else in mind.
The Devil, who tries to oppose God and does these sort of things for fun.
Yes Free Will plays a part here, but some argue that all are suject to God's Will no matter what. In that case, God has a weird sense of humor and works in mysterious ways. I cannot explain then, why lightning bolts got thrown at those people. They must have moved into an electrified charge area.
Maybe God was at work trying to save those people from the first few bolts? Why he didn't from the final bolt is beyond my reasoning.

According to the Godites . .
. . and the Christians, God is omnipotent and omnipresent, thus totally responsible for all acts including those of "that other guy". It follows that all your or anyone else's inflictions are inflicted by God.
Any denial of this by God would imply He is not omnipotent and omnipresent, demonstrating that He is not God. Any denial of this by anyone other than God would be a claim God is not God, and that would be blasphemy.

A (supernatural) being defined as "omnipresent" and "omnipotent" means only that he, she or it is everywhere and can do anything - literally all powerful, actually. Neither means said being is responsible for all actions and events.
