Welcome to IWETHEY!

New An hour+? I don't think so. ;-)
I'm getting there. Each attempt gets me a little closer.

So far, I'm getting to the second stage with eCS. The trick seems to be to use Standard IDE instead of Enhanced, and selecting the Generic Int13 from the advanded options menu from the boot CD.

I've also determined that I need to use the OEM driver for the Realtek LAN card. The one listed at [link|http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?series=16&Software=True|http://www.realtek.c...=16&Software=True] under the heading for OS/2 doesn't work, but the one from the OEM disk (listed just above OS/2) does.

I'm working on getting the network protocols straightened out now. I don't need NetBIOS and I have to find a way to add Netware support without screwing everything else up.

I figure about 6 more install attempts and I'll have it together. ;-)
New only a minute
60+ seconds, not minutes

New Understood that.
Just letting you know how long I waited at one point.

Anyway, still not done. Next is the sound and then Netware.
New thought you misread mine :-)

New RealTek driver
from an earlier [link|/forums/render/content/show?contentid=88554|Post #88554]
Had problems with the built in RealTek LAN. The driver off the RealTek website(V3.23 7/28/99) would lock up the system during the boot sequence. I tracked down a newer driver(v3.23vk 8/9/02) at [link|http://pws.prserv.net/mckinnis/nicpak|Chuck McKinnis' NICPAK page] and cleared up that problem.
I see there's an even newer RealTek driver now.

He's so far to the right of the bell curve he could drop a marble and it wouldn't roll away.
