New camels, needles
The trouble with atheists is they see the medium-sized picture and think it's the big picture.

Why, marlowe! I'd always figgered yew fer a godless type yerself, but now it turns out yer a kriss-chun?? Do tell! Are you one of the cosmos<6000 Y.O., with separate creations of the various immutable species believers? Or are you one of those, you know, "Muffy and I think that the lower orders are better reconciled to their station within the framework of a proper religious belief system"? Oh, do share!

devoutly,
"Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist."
New If you were to see the medium sized picture...
it would be a huge step up for you.

Den Beste and I are both way smarter than you. So get over yourself.

Victory was the answer - to a great many problems.
When the facts speak for themselves, only a fool insists on having a debate.
The future is leaving the station, the US is at the throttle, and the Left isn't on board.

Personal attack. No proof offered.

Looks like somebody's using the "Big Lie" technique, since they don't have any real proof.

Yet Another Worthless Marlowe Drive-By.
After 9/11, Bush made two statements:
1. "Terrorists hate America because America is a land of freedom and opportunity."
2. "We intend to attack the root causes of terrorism."

Sounds like everything is going according to plan.

New Possible LRPDISM
Although to immortalize Marlowe within a LRPDism would inexorably taint the LRPD for all time...so Upon further review, I retract.....

New Actually...
I avoid political and religious references in the LRPDisms.

I'd put this under "political".

Slams, also, are limited to good-natured slams.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New Statement of the obvious. Was preceeded by the proof.
In fact, I linked to the proof in the post that started it all.

Failure on your part to connect assertion with proof does not constitute failure on my part to provide proof.

Oh, and both Den Beste and I were right about Iraq. For proof, see any reputable news source.

Get over yourself. Being as deliberately obtuse as you are is a symptom of denial. Denial is unhealthy. You're gonna give yourself a stroke or an ulcer or something.

New Guess it is time to stop denying things.
You're right, I probably will get an ulcer if I keep taking you seriously, instead of the bigoted, close-minded troll you are.

Fa la laaaa!

G'night, troll! :D Have a nice day!

(And notice the lack of converts you're winning? Hint: it's not because we don't think Saddam is bad - it's because You Are A Troll.)
After 9/11, Bush made two statements:
1. "Terrorists hate America because America is a land of freedom and opportunity."
2. "We intend to attack the root causes of terrorism."

New Dude. You're still missing the point.
I'm not after converts. You people already know you're wrong. I'm after discrediting you before future generations. The only winning tactic the left has ever had has been the Big Lie. Now our side is systemtatically taking that away, by means of the Internet.

The traditional media are still useful idiots. They're too lazy to debunk. But in this phase of history, they matter less and less. Their monopoly is broken, and therefore they are of far less use to the Big Liars of the world.

The traditional "alternate media" have been washed up for quite a while now. They ran out of new material. Why, they were even recycling the "blood for oil" crap from 1991. And that hadn't even worked the first time.

Every lie or spin I see, I debunk, and I get it all on record here. It's all on record. All my facts, all the other side's lies, illogic, and impotent bile. All correlated. Digest the implications of that.

And even if a hard drive crash should wipe out this site, there are countless other such sites, and countless other marlowes. Many of them are more organized and efficient than I am. And we're all on the job, and you can't stop us.

You can't win. You don't even know what the battle is about anymore.

New Afghanistan.
Still a lawless mess.

Your hero hasn't done anything real to clean it up.

You really think Iraq is going to be any different?

Then ask yourself who the delusional one is.

Not bad as a troll goes. You should probably go back to usenet - there's some guys there who could give you lessons.

...as to how self delusional one can be!

There is a Psych thesis in his post somewhere, just dying to get out!

New Den Beste is a lot smarter than you, period
I've known him for years. He's good people, even if we disagree on a lot of things, and can actually listen to opposing viewpoints and change his position when its warranted. He also treats those who disagree with him with respect until disrespect is shown to him... as opposed to your little cabal (judging by you and cybermace) who want to intimidate with insults and veiled threats those who disagree with you.

New how uncharacteristically diffident of marlowe
Since he has the Straight Poop on politics and world affairs, and is never shy about sharing with the rest of us, the apparent indication that he's a Believer of some sort (previously, to all appearances, he merely worshipped force) gave me to hope that he might enlighten the membership here on, you know, God and like that--an area historically rife with the kind of controversy and doctrinal dogfights that could surely benefit from our man marlowe's binary sensibilities. Of course, given that he's in the habit of alluding to his "pity" and "compassion," only invariably to withhold these coveted dispensations from one or another of his antagonists, we should not be unduly surprised that he dodges the invitation to share the Good Word and leaves our collective spiritual welfare in the lurch.

cordially,
"Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist."
New Re: how uncharacteristically diffident of marlowe
Amazing - that entire paragraph is only 2 sentences.

Like "See Marlowe. See Marlowe believe."

To which can only be added - "Believe, Marlowe. believe!"

New Well, there's a bit of a hitch to the transformation -
from dullard to Perfect Yes/No Morality, it seems.

Given the Marlowe Self-administered Smartness Quotient for Lackey Subservience
[MSSQL Subservience] (I believe this maps to the class, Look, I Am Honest !)
it follows from another ancient Principle -
The Lower Cannot See the Higher -
that most of us dullards are incapable of receiving this mindset transplant. :(

What to do.. Is there -
a wipemind command?
[depth=infantile, MBA, toddler, Repo,.. .. adolescent] ?
A time-scale to be wiped... [t=10, 20, 30, 40, 50 .. n] years of counter-experience ?
A dross eliminator [art, music, humanities, history, compassion, negotiation, peaceful coexistence] ?

Feeling unusually bereft of even a smidgen of hope that I might ever aspire to the the Epitome of Yes/No Morality.. at least, just prior, to my dotage -
[??] I frantically Googled for Enlightenment about [Enlightenment {over Cant, not Kant}].

It seemed that #1 spot had been purchased by one 'L. Ron Hubbard' and.. was neither Open Source nor Free-ware but Corporate-ware , 1024-bit encrypted.. and it was at least 1 Euro/bit - just for the E-meter!
(And there were even '03 New Levels beyond Clear towards which a One might A$pire!)

Gawd.. had I only been blessed with such a mind as might {sigh} be gainfully employed as a RDBMS manager for a purveyor of fine arms to er pragmatic butnotreallybad when you gettoknowthem, over a contract-Authoritarians in small countries - - - then I could have afforded L.Ron AND today, could make keen radio-controlled Cluster-Bombers in my spare time, too! {sigh} {sigh}

A Policemans's Lott is not a happy one.
We see.
