New Halliburton-Cheney + Judicial Watch + US-CEO speech
(and just in time for [link|http://salon.com/comics/tomo/2002/07/09/tomo/index.html|Tom T.] to take us on a visit to Free Market Land.)

Heard en passant on BBC news that, Judicial Watch is bringing suit against Cheney, alleging illegal machinations to push H. stock prices upwards, including fraudulent accounting - just before C. departed with a bundle (in addition to parachute bundle). Additionally: a video tape is said to be circulating, made by our Selected Veep - in which he recommends to all, the selection of Anderson as auditors, saying on camera ~

...they give advice over and above the book.

Now as to whether any US media will be picking up on any of the above.. well, heard anyone ask after Osama.. lately?

Hmmmm.. we've never impeached a Veep. Before. Throw to wolves? to save the Leader + Saudi [oil] ?? That'd be a twofer. Threefer! if a certain Southern Oil Corp. gets back on target for that pipeline across __where?__ Yup: Afghan[oil]istan.

(See, it's kinda a Rebus. ^^ That is.. )

In any case, the world appears to be enjoying this display of Murica's Other ethics problems. Perhaps enjoying too, translations of the US-CEO's 'get sorta verbally-tough' speech today.
[remember: he promised us he'd run Murica "like a Corporation". I heard that. We were warned.]

New *FLASH* ___Never mind: ____Ari Fleisher explains it all.
"The suit is without merit."

{whew}

There for awhile.. I thought.. ...
But it's OK now.
It's been explained.

Nothing to it at all.

So...

Never. Mind.
New What was that precedent?
Something about sueing a sitting president for acts committed prior to the (s)election?

Isn't it just sweetly ironic that the court that put this administration in power also said you could sue 'em? I've been waiting for this since November 2000. I had already known about the Bush family's little problems with following the law from an old Mother Jones [link|http://www.motherjones.com/news_wire/bushboys.html|article]. The Kennebunkport Sopranos.
"We are patriotic citizens too. Patriotism means 'love of country',
caring about its people, its ecosystem, and others around us. Not giving
blind loyalty and a blank check to George W. Bush. We are patriotic enough
to care about the long term effects instead of just the short term gain.

Therefore it is our patriotic duty to guard our country and our constitution
against people and forces hiding behind the flag."
