But seriously - perhaps ditch the idea of maintaining a large offline library and finally sign up for Spotify/Pandora/Xbox Music/Whatever?
(I've got ~100GB of choonz locally, but since paying £5/mo to Teh Ebil Micorsfot gets me ALL THE TUNES*, I've radically diversified what I listen to.
Downside: I don't listen to stuff in as much depth as I used to.)
