That  is cropping-up, apparently where a ['] should be
--in previous posts. (as in Alex's sig?) Something er, 'Rotating-accumulator-right', where it shouldn't? (You do write all your code in Assembler, right?) Wait.. that was Gibson--how he doing, lately? Anyone still using SpinRite, on Tbyte HDs? (Dux..) Ed: PS--could this be related to OS X's choice of [']-coding? -vs- the Redmond, oft M$-Word-related Other-nonsense? Just a w.a.g. Ed: PPS--here's another example: http://forum.iwethey.org/forum/post/389856/where a ['] is clearly the intent. Maddening shit-details, no? It may kill us all, in near-future (??) My guess: Apples ' is aslant, whereas generic is,, well, straight-up. Amiright, sir?

Good eyes. Same here on Winders.
It shows up in the "view page source" of the subject pages, so my guess is that there was some code-page weirdness when the database was copied over, or something?
I hope it's easy to fix.
Cheers, Scott.

There's a koan lurking in all this.. somewhere.
'We' can see a few-degrees slant in some stupid ASCII-artifact. But nobody (-almost) Can See.. STUFF that affects all future 'prospects' ..about 10-orders-of-magnitude more Serious than ... (you know.)
..Must Be that we need more than 4 sets-of-Tags in our (Trial-grade?) DNA. That could be IT. In which case

Is it still happening in new posts?
If not it was probably the conversion process to UTF-8.

Heh
Hehehehehe
I can reliably crash something (i.e. I get a 500 error) by copypasting from Word text containing proper quotation marks.

Silly Peter
This is what happens when you take a "business-side" role for a while. You forget how developers operate.

I know how they operate.
This is why we have the pointy sticks with which to remind them how they should operate.

Because then when you're on holiday in unspoilt and unreachable Blackpool, Bob over there will have a fighting chance of fixing your no-doubt-erudite-and-beautiful new feature, in the vanishingly unlikely event of it going titsup.com the second the door closes behind you, like it absolutely never does every single fucking time."
