...and water are infinitely miscable. That is, they are mutually soluble in any proportion.
Solubility isn't the problem, toxcicity is. While consumption-grade quantities (eg: 1%+) of some alcohols are toxic, the quantities which might be introduced to groundwater via normal vectors from fuel stations and vehicles are not.
