There ain't no such thing..

Hell, even Microsloth {ugh} is entitled to be an occasional victim of a bad copywriter! though I agree with the point raised near end - after such an error, there must be immediate posting of an explanation / disclaimer.

But pushing to get a Free 1\ufffd Laptop.. is simple greed, whether M$-Greed or the normal, lesser daily-kind.

New I quite agree.
A typo that would put a laptop price off by a few hundred or perhaps by $1000 would be grounds for them to honour the "incorrect" price. I've bought items in stores where the tag on the shelf was lower than the price in the computer (or on the item's own tag) - by law, retailers must honour the lower price. OTOH, a computing error that listed them as 1c - no, I wouldn't expect Compaq to honour that.
