New Can it be that our home-grown Christianists
...as they piously prate about our sacred First Amendment rights and snicker condescendingly at these swarthy foreign fanatics, have forgotten the foaming and fulminating and threats that accompanied the release of The Last Temptation of Christ in 1989? Lots of God-botherers got their knickers in a twist both at home and abroad (The Archbishop of Paris said at the time “One doesn't have the right to shock the sensibilities of millions of people for whom Jesus is more important than their father or mother,” although to his credit he deplored the subsequent firebombing of a Parisian cinema during a screening of the film).

I can hardly wait for the rich bouquet of cognitive disconnect that will accompany the next "Piss Christ."

devoutly,
New They didn't like The Life of Brian in 1979 either.
Interesting interview with John Cleese on that here: http://www.patheos.c...s-ready-for-them/
New Thanks.
New I grow very disgusted with...
these people.
New They don't like you either.
New Well...
I'm sure they "Love me in Christ" but I also think they do these other things because they can. I also believe they feel that Jesus is the "One True Lord/God" mainly because the Bible tells them that. I also believe the Islamist side is just as idiotic and they also do things like this mainly because they can.

While many of the Brain Dead Zombies that follow Jesus don't quite understand the blind faith and inciting of other religions can be deleterious to ones health... and country, I don't think they even care enough to know that distinction. They just want the one true way.

meh... I get more and more disgusted with the human species.
