1 - Maxtor 6L080J4 DiamondMAXplus D740X 80GB ATA133 for "system"

Don't get it. Why such a large drive? Unless you simply went for the (currently) fastest drive available, I would think a 10 Gb drive for the "system" would be overkill.
The best scale for an experimental design is ten millimeters to the centimeter.

New Well... Thinking outside the box gives me...
Too many things to think about. But here is the "why":

  • The place I bought them from gave me a great price for buying 10 drives at a time

  • I can have multiple versions of the OS installed for those "oops" happenings,

  • Yes, being fast for the system is good
