The first one people are likely to take is "OMG!! Apple cant do that!!!1". :-)
The second one, and more interesting is coupled with the fact that Apple is rolling out an application store for OS X. After decades of Microsoft trying to lock people in to their technologies with a fly-paper approach, Apple is going for a more of a honeypot solution. But the possible end results have remarkable similarities.
