New Wireless is still cheaper
sounds like you are looking for is a MOCA solution (multimedia over coaxial) and they are still a bit pricey. Looking at about 150-200 per room from what I've seen (looked at it a bit cause my house is wired that way). You could set up wireless with a repeater and be much less expensive.

Just because it's already there doesn't mean it's cheaper than a different solution from scratch. Repeaters are clearly the fyoocha.

...if they ran the coax well...you could always use it as a pull for ethernet cable :-)

Also, don't know about the fyoocha...as I set my dad's place up like that in the distant past.
