Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Let me be the first to say...
Merry Christmas!

Of course, I'm "early" because it's 10pm Christmas Eve, local time. But at least you lot have half a chance of seeing this on your Christmas Eve. I'm not expecting much traffic here on the actual Christmas Day...

Wade.

Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers?
A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately.
New Re: Let me be the first to say...
Jingle fucking bells. Snow here. Might be a white xmas!
New Re: Let me be the first to say...
Expwecting 16-24 inches of snow here... Blowing winds, blizzard conditions.

Wonder how many will make the trip here tomorrow for dinner. :-(
New wondering how 2 of my crew will get back to morris from msp
or rather, when
New We're expecting rain ... wanna trade?
After all, you're the one in England. Isn't a cold, rainy Christmas pretty traditional for you?

New Re: We're expecting rain ... wanna trade?
Certainly is. Snow on Xmas Eve is quite the event around here.
New Re: We're expecting rain ... wanna trade?
We are expecting Freezing Rains, then freezing and then snow.

Gonna be fun.
New Rain has been canceled here.
The wind blew it all away. Rain wasn't expected in Los Angeles until Sunday anyway. but today everything is clear, bright and sunny. They say it'll be 66°F but I think it'll be warmer.
New We *have* rain...
Christmas Eve was warm and humid, but a bit mild for Sydney. Christmas Day was cooler and in the afternoon the heavens opened. :-/

When I was a kid, Christmas usually meant a very hot day.

Wade.

Q:Is it proper to eat cheeseburgers with your fingers?
A:No, the fingers should be eaten separately.
New What?
What do you mean? Oh yeah you are from that underside place... or something other...

Oh forget it...

Merry Christmas.
New I'm in for a unique one
I'll be going to Christmas Mass this evening.
My daughter will be cantoring during collection.
Get that kid singing and the tears and the money just flow.
New I remember when the pope went to anchorage
assisted a buddy to get down there, usher asked if I wanted to help out during collection, laughed my ass off about that
New Standard time
I was hanging out in the vestibule.
You could hear very well in it, good sound system and the church was packed.

The usher asked if I wanted to come in.
I said no, I just wanted to listen when my daughter starts singing.

Him: She's in the choir?
Me: Not exactly. (She was invited back as a guest singer, she's not part of the school anymore. But no reason to tell him).
Him: My daughter is in the the choir.
Me: (smile and nod)
Random passerby: My niece is in the choir.
Me: (Smile and nod. There is a reason she's invited back to sing, most of the current people are terrible).

She starts to sing. There is another voice as well, but not nearly as strong. She was given the spot in front of the mike, and the other person isn't near it.

The usher's eyes glaze over, he gets a faraway look, and says "Oh my god, is that your kid?"

Me: Yup.

Everyone stops talking and listens and then makes the appropriate holy shit you must be proud noises.

Me: Yup.

New :-D
New Thanks! Hoping the holidays and 2010 are great for everyone
New And the same to you as well!
As well as to everyone else here, and all your families. Merry merry, happy happy, joy joy, happy happy, joy joy, dai dai dai.

New Merry (hic!) Chisssmss
There are advantages to living across the street from your in-laws. Like, you don't have to worry about a designated driver after Christmas Eve dinner. Woo!

Just put the kids down ... need to give them a half-hour to fall asleep, then head up to the attic.

New Ho Ho Ho!
Santa just dropped off the schwag. Time for bed.

Merry Christmas to all.
