In June 1967 Gaza and the West Bank were not contiguous, in fact they were ruled by 2 separate countries, Egypt and Jordan. Therefore an Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 border cannot possibly satisfy the Palestinians, they will have 2 disconnected areas. In fact, the Palestinians always qualify their demand for a withdrawal to the 1967 borders with the caveat that they also have a contiguous state. In other words Israel would need to surrender more territory.
