New Most likely on the back
There should be an obvious location where the combustion happens. Somewhere on that piece, you'll see a thing a little larger than a nickel with wings, held on with two screws. What someone called a "fuse" is actually a thermostat. Google for it and you'll find images [link|http://www.applianceaid.com/thermo.html|here] and [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/new?contentid=237522|here]. They cost a couple of bucks each. Cheap enough to be worth replacing just to see if it works.

The hard part is that you may have one around the front of the tub support behind the door. You may have to remove the entire cover to get to it. (Yes, I know more about this than I'd like to.)

New Re: Most likely on the back
This one was just at the exhaust out area.

$25.

Is it likely to be this one? Or should I be pulling the front apart?

Dammit, a new dryer is around 350 + installation, and this is a BAD month for unexpected expenses.
New Easy to test
Remove the thermostat. Hold it by the wing with a pair of pliers. Apply a lighter to the inside surface. (The side that sits inside the drier.) After a second or two you should hear a click. Remove the lighter. Few seconds later you should hear it click back. If this doesn't happen, the thermostat is shot.

Learning this cost me $100 in shit I broke before talking to the right guy.

New Light a match near a faulty gas dryer? /me runs away...!
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New Damn, this one is good
Not the problem.
I guess I can start pulling the rest apart.
New Quick check:
Is the lint trap full? Is the passage from the lint trap to the exhaust full? Ditto the exhaust itself.

New Sweet it is
All done, all beter.

And I learned something else.

My bagless vacuum cleaner had a set of filters I didn't know about.
I thought it was dying.
Nope. All better as well.
