(the exclusive licensee) have filed a lawsuit against 94 companies including Microsoft, IBM, and Polaroid because they illegally used their patented image editing software. ... University of California's also taking a more "license for money" stance to patents. Alas, what will probably happen is that they'll work out some sort of software deal or cross-licensing agreement.
