New And it seems to work!
I followed the advice from IcemanV9 then jaykay at [link|http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=38972|http://ubuntuforums....hread.php?t=38972] and it worked. (Well, it did once I turned encryption off.)

This is posted by wireless from Ubuntu on my new laptop!
