I added the lines and got 400+ index files with some errors: Failed to fetch [link\|ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/dists/testing/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz\|ftp://ftp.nerim.net/...amd64/Packages.gz] Unable to fetch file, server said '/debian-marillat/dists/testing/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz: No such file or directory ' Reading Package Lists... Done W: Couldn't stat source package list [link\|ftp://ftp.nerim.net\|ftp://ftp.nerim.net] testing/main Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/ftp.nerim.net_debian-marillat_dists_testing_main_binary-amd64_Packages) - stat (2 No such file or directory) W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. On apt-get upgrade, I get "218 not upgraded" including mozilla-firefox. Also, installed a gnome program needed by mozilla-firefox and opened up the floodgates for a bunch more updates. All is well with firefox now. Thanks!
