New to Mac
They dual booted Windows and OS/2 on the systems I gave them a few years back. I think they would have figured it out eventually, I talked to my brother after I got back home and he commented that the Mac was a lot easier to use. I also gave them [link|http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/macxmmpanther/|The Missing Manual], which they've been reading over.
It takes a few hours to drive to Corpus Christi from Houston. I spent about 4 hours on training with each basically pointing out the differences from what they were used to, basic usage of iTunes and iPhotos, and how to use MacMame. I do think my brother would have had problems setting up his internet connection, though it's because his provider has issues. He's using ATT Global(used to be IBM's internet access and they supported OS/2). They have a proprietary dialer that worked fine under my brother's account but none of the others. I was able to use PPP, but for some reason they don't send the DNS settings via PPP so I had to track them down and manually enter them.
