This has been coming for years.

Without salary structure based on revenues the players have no stake in promoting the game and the owners will keep losing.

Its destined to be a 4th or 5th class sport...I had such high hopes as a youngster.

NHL == WWF/Boxing on ice.

We won't miss it. We have the high school hockey to watch. Much more entertaining and definitely better hockey.
