New Have a hernia need surgery
The doctor gave me 2 options regular and laproscopic. The laproscopic has the advantage of a faster recovery. Anyone have any experince with this? The doctor told me that I will be up and about in less then a week, should I believe him? After looking a bit on the web, I don't know what to do, it seems that the traditional surgery may be better.
New Look at the long range picture...
...and ask your doctor about that.

A couple of weeks saved now might not be worth it in the future, if you see what I mean.

New He was non-committal
although he was leaning towards the regular procedure because recent studies have indicated that it may lead to better results.

Unfortunately, it is hard to get a good opinion on this. I know that this is a routine procedure commonly done but it is still a scary thought.
New If it were me...
...I'd be inclined to go with the procedure that The Man With The Knife has had most practice at.

No matter how much Microsoft supporters whine about how Linux and other operating systems have just as many bugs as their operating systems do, the bottom line is that the serious, gut-wrenching problems happen on Windows, not on Linux, not on Mac OS. -- [link|http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1622086,00.asp|source]

New whistle, lookup, flip a coin. good luck
These miserable swine, having nothing but illusions to live on, marshmallows for the soul in place of good meat, will now stoop to any disgusting level to prevent even those miserable morsels from vanishing into thin air. The country is being destroyed by these stupid, vicious right-wing fanatics, the spiritual brothers of the brownshirts and redstars, collectivists and authoritarians all, who would not know freedom if it bit them on the ass, who spend all their time trying to stamp, bludgeon, and eviscerate the very idea of the individual's right to his own private world.
