Post #175,027 by bluke 9/19/04 7:44:38 AM Reply	Have a hernia need surgery The doctor gave me 2 options regular and laproscopic. The laproscopic has the advantage of a faster recovery. Anyone have any experince with this? The doctor told me that I will be up and about in less then a week, should I believe him? After looking a bit on the web, I don't know what to do, it seems that the traditional surgery may be better.

Unfortunately, it is hard to get a good opinion on this. I know that this is a routine procedure commonly done but it is still a scary thought.
