Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Dunno
I started cutting the SLES, and then started installing the 32Bit version. Then smacked myself on the forhead and realized that we has DLed the 64 bit version a week ago, but I was too busy to deal with it.

I cut those 6 CDs, and installed from that.

I tuned my dual monitor setup (why the hell does it default to 640x480 in the 2nd monitor?). Also, it refused to go better than 1024x768 during the initial install (crashed X), but then when I had the desktop booted, I could push it to 1280x??? and it was just fine.

I have NOT been using the Dual Opteron on my desktop for the last 3 months. It's been sitting there as a big paper weight. Sad. I'm so used to my 700MHz PIII that the windows seemed to pop up fully filled before my finder released the trackball button.

New I'll be more than happy to...
Take it off your hands.

IF Dave says OK? OK?

No matter how much Microsoft supporters whine about how Linux and other operating systems have just as many bugs as their operating systems do, the bottom line is that the serious, gut-wrenching problems happen on Windows, not on Linux, not on Mac OS. -- [link|http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1622086,00.asp|source]

New Did you put in for a set and not get them?
New Oh, I got the DVDs....
I was talking the Dual Opteron Machine.

Wink Wink, nudge nudge!

New Did anybody else *NOT* get them yet?
New I am still waiting...
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"
New Good to know. Thanks
I'd feel funny bitching about not getting something for free, but on the other paw, I'd feel similarly silly not mentioning it. For the time being, I'm going to assume that it's a long slow roll out.
New Re: Good to know. Thanks
I missed it - what exactly is everyone waiting for?
-drl
New It's described as Novell Technical Resource Kit
Contains Suse 9.1 Professional, Suse Linux Enterprise Server, and a bunch of other stuff.
Since Novell bought Suse, there has been no mention of Suse's upgrade policy and my 8.2 is working nicely so I haven't been in a hurry to upgrade. This package let me spend my upgrade money on a DVD rather than another software package. Assuming that I actually get it of course...
New Arrived sometime last week.
Since I don't check the P. O. Box every day, I couldn't tell you exactly when.
