Sometimes "tolerance" is just a word for not dealing with things.
New Depends on the citizens....
[link|http://www.news-journalonline.com/2001/Oct/3/FLA11.htm|Orlando man free after detention as possible material witness]

Born in Tanta, Egypt, Badawi came to the United States 18 years ago after meeting an American woman in Europe. He is now has U.S. citizenship.

[...]

All the publicity, Badawi said, has virtually shut down his businesses, leaving his 45 employees out of work. Badawi said he and his family are now staying at a hotel to avoid the media stakeout at their house.

He said he has tried to stay level-headed about the long nightmare.

"I can't say I'm mad," Badawi said. "I'm not happy I've been in jail, but I guess they had a job to do."

It must be terrible to be in such a situation. But I support reasonable detention if that's the only practical alternative.

Cheers,
Scott.

But I support reasonable detention if that's the only practical alternative.

BTW: I'm not against detention, if its been set up by the courts, and follows any other sort of guideline.

I'm against detention when they've not been represented by lawyers, or when the lawyers weren't able to argue a case, because they weren't allowed to meet with the clients, etc....

I'm against breaking the system, in other words.
