New If it boots up from your HDD...
... with all drive mappings correct et al, it's a fairly simple process.

1. Make sure the kernel you're booting off the diskette is also on your HDD.

2. Check /etc/lilo.con for boot=/dev/hda and that everything else is correct.

3. Run "lilo".

New Re: I have created a /boot partition

and the floppy. Will check the file you mention. I did a bit of this about 2 years ago & managed to get it working but as always, can't remember the details. Thanks for the pointers.
