New I use Adaware for my clients.
It's been greatly improved in recent months and can be easily updated over the Internet - both program and definitions. Optional modules can be added to the "paid up" version depending on your needs.

On the other hand, I'm not real familiar with competing packages.

New Adaware is frowned on.
Supposedly, it lets the users make some changes to our locked down version of IE (homepage, security, active x, etc.)
