Welcome to IWETHEY!

New IANK, but I'd do a fresh install.
(I Am Not Karsten.)

On Windows boxes it's best to do a fresh install on moving to new hardware due to the various drivers that may be different between the machines. I would think the same would apply to Debian as well.

GL!

Cheers,
Scott.
New That's what I'll be doing
The hardware is completely different, so I knew I needed to get a base system on there first. The key (which I knew I had seen before) was dpkg --get-selections > file on the old system, then dpkg --get-selections < file on the new system. Then apt-get dist-upgrade and I'm off to the races.
