The sentencing closely followed the terms of negotiated settlements between state prosecutors and the four men's defense attorneys. All four were convicted of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, and two were convicted of additional charges. Justin Deveed Williams, 21, was sentenced to three years in prison, and Hershell Ray Shelton II, 22, received 42 months. Justin William DuFour, 20, was convicted of a gun charge in addition to sex abuse and was sentenced to four years. Adam Aslan Ramadanovic, 21, was convicted on two sex abuse counts and a third-degree assault conviction for threatening the girl with a handgun and was sentenced to six years in prison. According to court documents, the four men forced the then 14-year-old into a darkened bedroom and made her perform oral sex on them at a party at a Sand Lake home. There appears to have been compromise, perhaps because the evidence was not strong enough to identify who did what. We don't know the details. From bitter experience I know it was because the word of one native witness against 3 whites and a black would be tossed by an Anchorage Jury. The amount of hatred against the natives there is horrendous. If the Girl was white they would be pleading out at 15-20 years each. And about this 'trial': Were I native, and there: I'd have a few reporters by as I announced a Jihad and demonstrated some of the weapons which anonymous acolytes would be 'attending to'. Sauce for the goose. We might as well fix all of the inanities of our culture, at once (?)
