I'm not sure I understand the correlation. Bush took us into an aggresive war and this is equal to Kennedy not taking us into an aggresive war.

Kennedy and ilk denied for years that they promised anything. They lied. Bay of Pigs was cubans and friends, no American troops except for aircover on the beach to get a foothold, no US troops involved. He betrayed those folks because of politics. That got him killed.
