Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Got a recommendation for a graphics card?
I need to dual boot between Linux and Win2k. It's for my main home computer so I'd like to be able to use it for games as well as work.

Thanks,
Hugh
New Depends what you want.
For all-out performance, you've gotta go Radeon - but the top end cards are still pegging $200 or more.

You're going to struggle to beat the price/performance of a GeForce4 Ti4200 (but get the 128MB version).

The GF4MX is actually based on GeForce 2 technology. It's a wretched card.

FWIW, I have a GF4 Ti4200. I play a lot of UT2K3, Quake 3, and UT.

...under Linux. I only boot Windows to play GTA2 :-)

New Sound good.
I find I can get a GF4 Ti4200 made by Microstar for $131.50 (USD) delivered. That is well within my budget. I think I'll give it a shot.

Thanks,
Hugh

You wouldn't know what normal was if it rode into town on the normal express, kicked down your door with its size normal boots, danced into your living room wearing nothing but the word "normal" and sang "normality is here again" on your dining room table whilst dancing the foxtrot.
