Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Tortured idea indeed. Twelve years of Saddam's subjects...
suffering needlessly, and you call it impatience. But it's okay to bleat about WMDs after less than two months.

You are really twisted. If I were an Iraqi subject, I'd say FUCK YOU AND BURN IN HELL. But I'm not, so I'll omit the second half.

I know you're in a crappy mood because events have humiliated all who belong to your cult. But you know what? It's your own damn fault. [link|http://denbeste.nu/cd_log_entries/2003/03/Initiationceremonies.shtml|You chose to be wrong]. I'll lavish pity on those who were murdered, maimed and jailed by your buddy Saddam, but there won't be much left over for you. Sometimes I can pity the likes of you, but then you say something to remind me of how heartless, how contemptuous of both truth and humanity you really are.

You've had your twelve years, which you never should have had. Now it's over. On behalf of the countless victims of Saddam, and the countless furutre victims if you'd had your way much longer, I say... oh, never mind. I won't repeat it.

New Twelve years.
Fuck off, you sanctimonious self-satisfied twat.

What about the preceding twelve years, where the USA and the UK sold him the bloody bombs and guns with which to oppress people? Item! Saddam was your buddy too!

If there's a high horse here (and I don't think there is) the USA and the UK have *no* right to be on it.

We are in there for strictly strategic reasons. Don't give me the bleeding heart "human rights" bullshit. Tell that to the marsh Arabs, who Saddam quite successfully oppressed throughout the 80s with the arms we sold him.

If I were an Iraqi subject, I'd say "get the fuck out of my country". Oh, wait. That's what they ARE saying!

New Already been debunked. And you know it.
Compared to Russia and France, the US contribution to that was negligible.

You guys have really painted yourselves into a corner, emotionally speaking. You denied reality for years on end, because it satisifed your ego needs to do so. But by denying reality so long, you've maneuvered yourselves into a morally indefensible position. You can't climb down now without admitting that you've knowingly rooted for genocidal monsters, and if you didn't have the fiber to admit you were wrong at first, you certainly haven't got enough to confess that.

You're all in a bad place, and I can see you're quite unhappy. But I find it hard to have any compassion for you, when you keep reminding me of how much you deserve it, and how thoroughly your own fault it is. If you could only muster the slightest contrition, or even back off one or two of your Big Lies, but no. You won't. You'd rather remain losers than admit you've been losers.

Perhaps some meaning can salvaged from this sorry situation. May your fate serve as a warning to others. And no, I'm not asking your permission.

Oh, and by the way, Peter: Margaret Thatcher was right. About the big government, about the taxes, about the Falklands, about those icky obsolete coal mines, and especially about the Euro. Maybe not the poll tax. But everything else... she was right. Demonstrably so. And you know it.

New Freud used to call this 'projection'.
For the denbeste Nintendo-Eloi - maybe it's just the only way such a muddled worldview can ever seem to be Righteous (and also some mangled concept of "morally 'correct'").

Wash mouth out with soap - 'negligible'; the weasel word epitomized by the sign over the gas chambers, Brausebad (a shower-door with double-rubber 'water'-seals?)

Do not fret over 'our' suffering Nintendo-boy. Your Certainty of Righteousness\ufffd is your eventual seppuku. So Many.. before you; each one so sure
"I'm Special; I shall define morality each day and in every way .. no matter what."

Gramma Lives! - serves ya right for bein That incarnation. Outta 500 million sperm - Yours was the winner !?
New "Just you wait!"
Freud used to call what you're in "denial." Or maybe it was Jung. Whatever.

The trouble with "just you wait!" is it's like taking out a bad loan on the future. Me, I'm not waiting. Don't have to. I'm vindicated *now*.

But I'm talking about something else entirely.

Gore lost in 2000. Get over it.

New Aww...come one...
Gore lost in 2000. It's only 2003.

I remember hear Clinton complaints for 8 years.
New Only 8?
I've been hearing them (still) for 11...
After 9/11, Bush made two statements:
1. "Terrorists hate America because America is a land of freedom and opportunity."
2. "We intend to attack the root causes of terrorism."

Sounds like everything is going according to plan.
New To quote their [Clinton bashers] hero...
"Ask yourself, are you better off now than you were four years ago?"
bcnu,
Mikem

The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been...We have thrown away the most valuable asset we had-- the individual's right to oppose both flag and country when he (just he, by himself) believed them to be in the wrong. We have thrown it away; and with it all that was really respectable about that grotesque and laughable word, Patriotism.

- Mark Twain, "Monarchical and Republican Patriotism"
New If.. we didn't have our very own Curtiss Le May^hrlowe
we'd have to invent Him. It's always good to test the mettle in that Full Metal Jockstrap {thanks deS} stimulus/response noisy gaggle.. They are, after all the ones who often mistake their Nintendo-joystick collection for.. another kind of member; this can lead to all sorts of nasty acting-out. We see.

Of course, these predictably flatter selves with their cutesy neo- appellation; it's like The New Coke\ufffd: the same old gut-rotting sweetened vinegar, but in plastic Six-Paks.. or is that PACS? Same old Human Events "bravery of being out-of-Range" / "let's You and Them Fight" cha cha cha. Booor..innng.

Hell, my Gramma practically invented the algorithm for the drippingly Hate-filled diss of anyone a skosh lest farRight-ful than her misanthropic self. But callow youth is ever With US; this group sets the Standard for Action-dead-body flics and bbBuy Buy Buys! our endless boring products (from the liar to the sheep, Direct). After hours, the agitated ones merchandise re-treaded Jingo Bells slogans for the morrow.

So we gots to keep noticin.. each time on o' Them {cackle} spots a new Target of Opportunity: to assimilate. But please to call that, Free.. them from their archaic unMurican Lifestyle and often, that 'life'-part too. Ah well, Progress IS Our Most Important Product. Meaninglessness in 6 words.

(Victor Borg-e would not be amused at the use of a homonym for the neo-Caligula Mindset of '00; he was a man of music and Life.. and Class. Not premature-death and crass.)

New WHOA!! Wait a minute...
weren't you the one who said that our number one reason for taking down Saddam WASN'T "For the People"?

Now you're arguing that's the JUSTIFICATION?
New Reason de jour
Ain't found no WMD, gotta change the reason.

Now it's "Saddam was a naughty man".

Tomorrow it'll be "I didn't get any last month".
[link|mailto:jbrabeck@attbi.com|Joe]
New But, would this be two changes or one?
Because I already called him on this way back when he first started arguing that "we were doing it for the people". (I pointed out the risk of that argument and that he had to accept full responsibility for it - and that game STILL isn't fully played out).

He weaseled and claimed that WASN'T the prime reason for attacking Iraq. Now he's claiming it is.
New It's simpler than that.
He just picks whichever position is the most convenient to back up his assertions at any given time.
After 9/11, Bush made two statements:
1. "Terrorists hate America because America is a land of freedom and opportunity."
2. "We intend to attack the root causes of terrorism."

Sounds like everything is going according to plan.
