Are the people who are refinancing taking advantage of the opportunity to get cash back? Whether or not they are, the fact is that many people are doing these things, and the aggregate effect of this is good short term and possibly scary long term. The freeways of Los Angeles County, I have driven in the North East, and "aggressive" is not the term I would use. I know "aggressive", I do that, every day, and that's not what they do there.
