I've been thinking of developing a web store in Active Server Pages, because a few people asked me about doing a web store for them in the past. I figure I could make it open source and charge them for the modifications and support. Obviously the version usuing Access won't be scalable for enterprise level stores, so I could make a free version using Access and an Enterprise system using SQL Server or Oralce which costs more. Sort of like what Red Hat does for its Linux. That way I can have a template to work off of and then add to it based on what the client needs for a web store. Remember, he wants to pay for some of it in Soap, I don't think Yahoo will take soap as a payment. :) He most likely has a Cable or DSL connection, and some brand of Windows that he wants to run the store on. He wants something quick and cheap, that he can pay off on with his own natrual soap products.
